Lockport’s Amer Abdallah preps for world title fight

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) – He’s the 2nd ranked kickboxer in the world and already owns the Intercontinental Championship,

Now, the only thing standing in between Amer Abdallah and the World Cruiserweight title is British kickboxing champion Daniel Hughes.

“I’ve had great champions like “Baby” Joe Mesi, Ross “The Boss” Thompson, all the Buffalo greats that have paved the way and enabled me to get to where I am,” Abdallah said.

“The only thing left to do now is Saturday night go dump this guy on his face.”

Buffalo’s Ayanna Tramont and Sean Felton Jr. will also enter the ring for a shot at claiming Middleweight Championships on Saturday.

“Just another day in my book. It’s like overtime baby,” Felton said.  “I just have to have fun tomorrow night and get the job done.”

Ring-side seats for Saturday’s bouts are already sold out, but general admission tickets are still available for $25. The fights in Lockport at Kenan Arena begin 6 p.m.
